weekend blog

first off... friday my good ol pops was admitted to the hospital with a heartrate that wouldn't slow down and a few other "issues". as of sunday night, he's still there. heart is looking good but still monitoring everything else.

in no way can he hold his own bottle! but he was able to balance it for a while, lol.

finally finished his easter basket! *phew*
sewed another rag quilt. front is flowers, back is polka dots.
table centerpiece for my niece's upcoming baptism "party".
and the napkin rings to go with
saw this funky lookin jeep in the home depot parking lot. the round thing in the back is a washing machine tub turned into a bbq and the stacks were just for show. LOL!
my niece emily got her easter dress but forgot to take off her helmet after riding her quad. LOL!
dinner saturday night was cream cheese chicken.
Cream Cheese Chicken
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 package dry Italian dressing mix
1/2 cup water

Cook these ingredients for 4 hours on low in your crock pot.

Then add:

8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 can Cream of Chicken soup

Cook one more hour on low or until sauce is bubbly. If sauce is too thick add more water! Serve over Rice, Mashed Potatoes, or Noodles

dinner tonight was cowboy nachos cowboy nachos

1 lb. hamburger

1/2 c. onion chopped

1 can chili beans (pinto, chili peppers, onion, & garlic in a zesty tomato sauce) drained

1 can rotel (with lime juice) drained

1 c. sour cream

1 package velveeta cheese

heat in crockpot until cheese is melted

dessert was homemade vanilla ice cream (i added mint oreos to mine) YUM!!

Ice cream

3 Cups Heavy Cream

2 Cups Sugar

1 T Vanilla

Pinch of Salt

Milk

Fruit of choice (optional)

Combine first 4 ingredients in ice cream maker. Fill up to 2/3 container with Milk. When ice cream is almost done add fruit. Remember to add rock salt to your ice on the side of your ice cream machine.

I'm now tired!!!
