i was shown by a volunteer last week at the project linus blanket night how to tie a fleece blanket that's MUCH easier than the original tied way. so here we go...
start with your fleece. i bought 1 1/2 yds for the top with a coordinating 1 1/2 yds for the backing.
square up your corners and cut a 4x4 inch square.
to make your ties, cut 4 inch strips, 1 inch wide.

Our oldest just announced another baby on the way, so I've ready to do this! Even though the baby isn't due til October!
We LOVE these blankets at my house. And this look smuch easier than the old way I have been doing it.

That is adorable! I love the new way...and I have a few yards of fleece just sitting around! I'll have to give it a try.
I love that way- looks easier, too!

I just took some fleece (donated to a quilting ministry I am part of) and made my first tied blanket. I made it the 'old' way, but I'll try this method on the next one. Thanks for the tip!
The one I made is here:
